Signs your wheels need balancing
- Steering wheel or seat vibrates, usually between 80 and 110 km/h
- Scalloped or patchy wear on the tread
- You have just fitted new tires, repaired a puncture or hit a deep pothole
- It has been around 10,000 km since the last balance
How we balance
Each wheel is spun on a computerised balancer that measures where it is heavy. The technician fixes small weights to the rim to cancel the difference, then re-spins to confirm zero. Balancing is part of every tire fitting at Abu Al-Ragheb Tires.
Balancing or alignment?
Balancing cures vibration. Alignment corrects the angle of the wheels and cures a car that pulls to one side or a steering wheel that sits crooked. Read our guide to the difference before you book.
Common questions
How long does balancing take?
Usually a few minutes per wheel. Message your branch on WhatsApp to avoid waiting at busy times.
Is balancing included when I buy tires?
Yes, it is part of every fitting. For balancing on its own, ask your branch for the current price.
