Premium, mid-range or value tires?

Abu Al-Ragheb Tires sells the whole market, from Pirelli and Michelin to value brands, so we have no reason to push one tier. Here is how we explain the choice at the counter.

Premium, mid-range or value tires? — Abu Al-Ragheb Tires, Amman

What premium buys you

  • Shorter braking distances, especially in the wet
  • Lower noise and better comfort
  • Often longer tread life and steadier performance as the tire wears
  • Specialist lines: run-flat, EV, high-performance

When value makes sense

  • Older or high-mileage cars driven mostly in the city
  • Cars that will be sold soon
  • Tight budgets — a new value tire beats a worn premium one every time

Are Chinese tires safe?

When you buy the right ones, yes. Abu Al-Ragheb Tires has worked directly with Chinese manufacturers since 2015 and only stocks lines that meet the same DOT/ECE standards as European brands. We will tell you plainly which ones we would put on our own cars.

Our advice

Spend where it matters most: the car you drive fastest and furthest, and the family car. Send your size on WhatsApp and we will reply with two or three options at different prices and say which we recommend.

Common questions

Is mid-range a good compromise?

Often, yes. Brands such as Hankook, Kumho, Toyo, Falken and Maxxis give strong value.

How do I check a tire meets standards?

Look for the DOT code and the E-mark (a letter E and a number in a circle) on the sidewall.
